Package: adduser
Version: 3.59
Severity: normal

man adduser says :

"DESCRIPTION
       adduser and addgroup add users and groups to the system
         according to command line options
 and configuration information in /etc/adduser.conf.
       They are friendlier front ends to the useradd and groupadd =20
programs,
 [snip]"

adduser can add a user to a group,
  which neither useradd nor groupadd can
    (at least it is not mentioned in their manpages)
  so it can't be only a frontend to useradd and groupadd ;
  maybe a line should be added telling how users are added to groups ?
