This all seems reasonable. (It would be great if there was a better
way to distinguish system groups from user groups than looking at the
numeric GID, since in an old heterogenous environment there may well
be system groups allocated at rather arbitrary GIDs. However, I can't
come up with a good and portable solution to that, and there probably
isn't any...)
