Hi,....
i made a Debian-sarge basic installation (so i hope the packetname i wrote above was correct)
and createt users by usind "adduser".
I used the synopsis: adduser --gecos --no-create-home <user> but the parameter
"--no-create-home" doesn't take effect.
I tried it in different ways,.... by using the prompt and a shell script.
Both methods created a /home/<user/ directory.

The --gecos option takes the contents of the gecos field as a
parameter, so you have successfully created a new account with the
gecos field contents "--no-create-home":

Adding new user foo' (1003) with group foo'.
Creating home directory /home/foo'.
