When trying to add a user to the system I get these errors:
kaplan:~# adduser pepe
Adding user `pepe'...
Adding new group `pepe' (1004).
Adding new user `pepe' (1004) with group `pepe'.
Creating home directory `/home/pepe'.
Copying files from `/etc/skel'
Use of uninitialized value in symlink at /usr/sbin/adduser line 695,
<FIND> line 167.
symlink: No such file or directory
Cleaning up.
Removing directory `/home/pepe'
rm: cannot remove `/home/pepe': Permission denied
Removing user `pepe'.
userdel: unable to lock password file
Removing group `pepe'.
groupdel: cannot remove user's primary group.

Note that /home/pepe is created though, but lacks files:
