[Adduser-devel] Bug#502150: adduser: EXTRA_GROUPS example should *not* contain group "games"

Package: adduser
Version: 3.110
Severity: normal

Back in April 2007, someone filed bug 419572 (still open) saying that
powermanga didn't save high scores. Someone else suggested the
"workaround" of adding the user to group "games"; however, normal
users should never have group "games", because that group exists
specifically so that games can write data that normal users cannot
tamper with. Bug 419572 then got cloned as 435642 against adduser
asking for the commented EXTRA_GROUPS example to include group
"games", and adduser made that change.

That change should never have occurred. Please remove group "games"
from the EXTRA_GROUPS example.

As previously suggested in bug 432710, the EXTRA_GROUPS example should
match the groups debian-installer adds the first user to. (Even after
removing group "games", that doesn't hold true, but that represents a
different bug.)
