hi,
i have recently started using apt-offline on an ubuntu 11.04 machine, and may
have found a minor bug:
i generate a signature for updates and upgrades on my offline machine, then
get the updates online.
i then take the downloaded package to the offline machine, and use apt-offline
to install it. after doing so, there are no updates available in synaptic.
so, i look in /var/lists/ and there are only (according to the date stamp) old
copies of the package lists
however, there are new copies in /var/apt/lists/partial/ (with today's date
stamp)
manually copying them from /var/apt/lists/partial/ to /var/apt/lists/ and opening
synaptic again solves the problem. shouldn't apt-offline do this itself? or
have i missed a step
thanks,
robin
