testing individual autopkgtest tests

Hi

For a long time, I already have working code for my --apt-release change
(3 implementations by now) but the regression tests keep failing.
Because running them via autopkgtest takes a long time I try to run only
the failing test. Does anybody know of the top of his/her head how to
run an individual test? I'll continue searching in the python docs, but
I haven't found something that works.

Something like:
$ python3 -m unittest autopkgtest.NullRunner.test_timeout
