Priority: 2
Submitted By: David Paleino (hanska-guest)

Summary: DBTS 501838: don't use uname for if{up,down, status}, just check for their presence
Distribution: None
Originally reported in: Debian BTS
Milestone: None
Original bug number: 501838
Initial Comment:
* Completion for the commands [..] ifup, ifdown, and ifstatus
depends on a uname of Linux; however, these commands exist on other
systems as well. Checking for the presence of the command seems
sufficient.
