[Bash-completion-devel] bash_completion doesn't work on asterix (wildcard): e.g. ls *.txt<TAB>

Hi,

One thing that has bugged me is that <TAB> doesn't complete things with
asterixes in them.

For example,

$ ls *.txt<TAB>

would produce the filenames of all files with extension .txt when NOT using
bash_completion.

When using bash_completion, hitting <TAB> doesn't do anything.

Any hints or workarounds for this problem?
