Initial Comment:
The error "-bash: [: too many arguments" is echoed several times on completion for "ssh <TAB>" if $HOME contains spaces (e.g. in a cygwin environment $HOME can point to /cygdrive/c/Documents and Settings/<USER>)

There are some quotes missing in function _known_hosts_real() (see attached patches for diffs against cygwin's bash-completion version 1.3-1; the other patch contains the differences against a recent git checkout).
