[Build-common-hackers] cdbs build dependency on springgraph

Hi,

I am currently trying to backport cdbs to woody since I need the
latest gnutls which wants to have cdbs to build.

However, cdbs build-depends on springgraph. springgraph, in turn,
binary depends on libgd-gd2-perl, which requires cdbs to build.

Can you please tell me whether springgraph is just needed to build
nice looking docs, or if I will get a dysfunctional cdbs when I just
build without springgraph?
