That's true -- at least for the ant package in contrib...

But ANT_HOME is /usr/share/ant1.5 for libant1.5-java in main and will be 
/usr/share/ant1.6 when Ant 1.6 is released (so that Ant 1.5 and Ant 1.6 
can be installed at the same time). I have thought of setting a default 
(/usr/share/ant) but decided not to do this so you don't need a package 
from contrib in the default case. I'll probably add the default when the 
ant package moves to main (which is in the very far future).
