Scott EMAIL: rdscott@ziplip.com I am the credit manager in a bank here in the United Kingdom. I am contacting you of a transaction involving a huge sum of money from a deceased account. Though I know that a transaction of this magnitude will make any one apprehensive and worried, but I am assuring you that Everything has been well taken care off, and all will be well at the end of the day. I decided to contact you due to the urgency of this transaction. To ease your apprehension as this may come to you as a surprise, especially as we have probably not met before. I apologize for this sudden approach, as it is due to the urgent nature of the proposal I intend to present to you. I got your contact through a desperate and personal search on the web, for someone I could really trust. PROPOSITION; I am the account officer of a foreigner named Gerald Welsh who died in an air crash along with his wife on the 31st October 1999 in an Egyptian airline 990 with other passengers on board. You can confirm this from the website below which was published by CNN.WEBSITE.http://www.cnn.com/US/9911/02/egyptair990.list/index.html< /Redirect/www.cnn.com/US/9911/02/egyptair990.list/index.html Since his death, none of his next-of-kin is alive to make claims for this money as his heir, because they all died in the same accident (May his soul rest in peace). We cannot release the fund from his account unless someone applies for claim as the next-of-kin to the deceased as stipulated in our banking guidelines.Upon this discovery,I now seek your permission to have you stand as a next of kin to the deceased for we are talking about a huge sum here,as all documentations will be carefully worked out by me for the funds to be released in your favor as the beneficiary's next of kin. Because after four years the money will be called back to the bank treasury as unclaimed bills and the money shared amongst the directors of the bank. So it is on this note I decided to seek for whom his name shall be used as the next of kin/beneficiary to this funds rather than allow the bank directors to share this money amongst themselves at the end of the year. It may interest you to know that we have secured from the probate an order of mandamus to locate any of the deceased beneficiaries. Please acknowledge receipt of this message in acceptance of our mutual business endeavor by furnishing me with the following information if you are interested. 1. A Beneficiary name in order for me to prepare the PAPERPWORK for transfer of the funds in your name. 2.Details particulars of your contact address. 3. Direct Telephone and fax numbers for our personal contact. Upon your indication of your readiness to assist we shall then discuss what percentage of this money would be yours on final conclusion of this project for your assistance. Also 3% of these funds will be given to any charity from your locality based on your recommendation; however I intend to invest my share in real-estate and stocks, because I intend to retire after the conclusion of this transaction. If this proposal is acceptable by you, please endeavor to contact me Immediately. Do not take undue advantage of the trust I have bestowed in you by informing you of this transaction from my bank as I will advise you to kindly desist from responding at all if you do NOT intend to render any assistance. Endeavor to respond via my email address as stated rdscott@ziplip.com Thanks and best regards, DAVID R. SCOTT Delivered to you by Irangate Electronic Mail Service! My country is currently at war and everyone is already looking for where to run to. The United States government has ordered our President (Charles Taylor) to leave the country and he is currently in Nigeria. I am currently taking refuge in Lagos also. I have deposited the sum of $25,000,000.00 in a finance and security company in Europe. Because the current situation requires all of us that have served this government to go into exile. I would need an urgent assistance to help me move the money where it is presently deposited,to a safe account to secure the future of my family. I am ready to go into negotiations with you regarding what percentage of the money should go to you while you would also help in investing and managing the fund.My family and I, will also appreciate any help you may offer in helping us to come over to your country to settle after this transaction has finally been transferred. The area I urgently need your assistance is to help me move the money from where it was deposited to your country for investment. I would expect that all aspects of the dealing be conducted with trust and absolute confidentiality. Please contact me urgently for further clarification. I implemented support to add "debhelper (>= 4.1.0)" when debhelper.mk is included, and "bzip" or "unzip" when tarball.mk is included and the upstream tarball is compressed with one of these. Also, the user can customise it and add other build-dependencies by initialising the CDBS_BUILD_DEPENDS variable. I am married to Dr.Franklyn Haafkens who worked with canada Embassy in nigeria for eleven years before he died in the year 2000.We were married for twenty seven years without a child. He died after a brief illness that lasted for only four days. Before his death we were both born again christians. When my late husband was alive he deposited the sum of (Four Million six hundred thousand U.S.Dollars)with a commercial bank in the Netherlands. Presently, this money is still with the bank and the management just wrote me as the beneficiary to come forward to receive the money or rather issue a letter of authorisation to somebody to receive it on my behalf if I can not come over. Presently, I'm with my laptop in a hospital where I have been undergoing treatment for cancer of the lungs. I have since lost my ability to talk and my doctors have told me that I have only a few months to live. It is my last wish to see this money distributed to charity organizations. Because relatives and friends have plundered so much of my wealth since my illness, I cannot live with the agony of entrusting this huge responsibility to any of them. Please,I beg you in the name of God to help me collect the deposit and the interest accrued from the bank and distribute it accordingly. As soon as I receive your reply I shall give you the contact of the bank. I will also issue you a letter of authority that will prove you as the new beneficiary of this fund. I want you and the church to always pray for me because the lord is my shephard. My happiness is that I lived a life of a worthy Christian. whoever that wants to serve the Lord must serve him in spirit and truth. Please always be prayerful all through your life. Any delay in your reply will give me room in sourcing for another person for this same purpose. Please assure me that you will act accordingly as I stated herein. This will allow many packages to avoid a gratuitous automake update when they just want aclocal. - Be smarter when finding the autoconf command. When autoconf 2.5x is installed, if command 'autoconf2.50' is not found, it means the 'autoconf' command is granted to be 2.5x and not 2.13. So if the former is not found, we can safely fallback to the latter. For example, I read in debhelper.mk that cdbs requires debhelper >= 4.1.0, but packages that build-depend on cdbs don't get this build dependency immediately. I think this is impractical because it tends to generate FTBFS bugs (dh_make sets debhelper >= 4.0.0 as default). If you want to avoid cluttering the cdbs package with unnecessary dependencies, you could for example split debhelper.mk out into cdbs-debhelper and have it depend on the correct version of debhelper (same for other functionalities in similar situation). -- System Information: Debian Release: testing/unstable Architecture: i386 Kernel: Linux aragorn 2.2.25 #1 Fri Jun 20 19:28:33 EST 2003 i686 Locale: LANG=C, LC_CTYPE=C -- no debconf information --------------------------------------- Received: (at 272758-close) by bugs.debian.org; 24 Sep 2004 22:08:21 +0000 >From katie@ftp-master.debian.org Fri Sep 24 15:08:21 2004 Return-path: Received: from newraff.debian.org [208.185.25.31] (mail) by spohr.debian.org with esmtp (Exim 3.35 1 (Debian)) id 1CAyEn-0000A3-00; Fri, 24 Sep 2004 15:08:21 -0700 Received: from katie by newraff.debian.org with local (Exim 3.35 1 (Debian)) id 1CAy8i-0000u1-00; Fri, 24 Sep 2004 18:02:04 -0400 From: Jeff Bailey To: 272758-close@bugs.debian.org X-Katie: $Revision: 1.51 $ Subject: Bug#272758: fixed in cdbs 0.4.23-1 Message-Id: Sender: Archive Administrator Date: Fri, 24 Sep 2004 18:02:04 -0400 Delivered-To: 272758-close@bugs.debian.org X-Spam-Checker-Version: SpamAssassin 2.60-bugs.debian.org_2004_03_25 (1.212-2003-09-23-exp) on spohr.debian.org X-Spam-Status: No, hits=-6.0 required=4.0 tests=BAYES_00,HAS_BUG_NUMBER autolearn=no version=2.60-bugs.debian.org_2004_03_25 X-Spam-Level: X-CrossAssassin-Score: 6 Source: cdbs Source-Version: 0.4.23-1 We believe that the bug you reported is fixed in the latest version of cdbs, which is due to be installed in the Debian FTP archive: cdbs_0.4.23-1.dsc to pool/main/c/cdbs/cdbs_0.4.23-1.dsc cdbs_0.4.23-1.tar.gz to pool/main/c/cdbs/cdbs_0.4.23-1.tar.gz cdbs_0.4.23-1_all.deb to pool/main/c/cdbs/cdbs_0.4.23-1_all.deb A summary of the changes between this version and the previous one is attached. I added the rule before including the CDBS file because of the following line in the "Adding extra code" section (though I realize now this is for rules that add dependencies): However, this must come before you include buildcore.mk.
