[Build-common-hackers] Bug#252134: Any workaround?

Hi,

I wonder whether there is anything going on with this bug.  I can not
understand that there is no comment at all from the maintainers to a
bug which is open more than a year.

In my case I would be able to remove all *.pyc files in the source tree
if the clear command fails.  This might not be the best solution if the
source would ocntain *.pyc files, but IMHO *.pyc files should not be
contained in source files anyway so the suggestion to provide cleaned
source tarballs mighht help here.
