I don't think there's anything special in cdbs that can help you.  You 
could make a copy of the tree and try to build the interesting parts 
first to see it if crashes.  Or you could patch up the source tree to 
ignore or handle the crash.  It's probably doable, but it seems very 
crazy. :)
