I see that you are a project member on alioth, so you should have write access 
to the subversion repository.

Since we are currently doing rather frequent uploads (every two or three 
weeks), you should only add "release grade" code to the trunk.  The 
multiple-flavor stuff is really cool and really important, but I think it 
should be done in a branch first.
