Yea, you are right saw that now, it can be used on a clean dir. I
tried it just now, but found it problematic, as you don't know what
files it adds, so it's rather difficult to create a clean rule if you
use autoreconf. My approach is to use --verbose, and parse that to
find files to remove on clean.
