[Build-common-hackers] Bug#414305: Confirmed here as well.

  Hello:

This is just to confirm that this is also happenning with the following cdbs
includes:

include /usr/share/cdbs/1/rules/debhelper.mk
include /usr/share/cdbs/1/class/autotools.mk
include /usr/share/cdbs/1/rules/simple-patchsys.mk

The problem is that indeed the clean target call reverse-patches before
doing the actual upstream build system cleaning. Thus, when upstream
distclean or clean target is called the whole aclocal/automake/autoconf
buildchain is performed and if you eventually try to build again from there
(and patch) you'll have a FTBFS if you have a patch that applies to upstream
build system.

  I think http://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=494254 is a dupe of
this one and you can find there a patch which I've tested and find working
succesfully.

  Please apply that patch.

  Thanks.
