Whoops - above adds a space between variable and warning, causing the 
warning to not be triggered in build targets.

Patches attached again - with a fix added to actually make the warning 
work in targets using the deprecated DEB_PYTHON_MODULE_PACKAGE (by 
avoiding a space between variable and warning).

I will try test myself today, and if it works (and noone still has 
argued against it), I'll commit the change.
