Cool! Added you now.

We use collab-maint for our packages, so you need to additionally
request membership of that team at Alioth (mostly mentioned for
reference - I believe you are already member there by now, right?).

We keep documentation here: http://wiki.debian.org/Sugar

I suggest you start package some activities not yet in Debian at all:
Try pull the git of some existing activities for inspiration, and try
model new ones after that. Simplest is to start with activities written
in Python with few library dependencies.

Preferrably pick one of the acticities part of Fructose but not yet
packaged. And please check the Git area at Alioth - perhaps it is
already in preparation (which might mean you get a head start, or
possibly the earlier attempt is old and confusing so it is easier to
start from scratch).

First package the newest version of the activitiy that works with Sugar
0.84. Then if newer versions work only with newer branches of Sugar,
then make a branch (in same git) with the Sugar branch as package name
suffix. Or try patch the newer version to make it work also with older
branches - it might be that upstream just haven't had time to do that.

I am happy to also introduce you to the state of affairs of existing
activities and core libraries, but I think it is easier if you first get
acquainted to the environment from the end of new simple activities. :-)

I might be slow at responding due to http://wiki.jones.dk/DebianAsia2011
but please don't let that discourage you.

Welcome aboard!

Regards,

 - Jonas
