Hi,
I've committed a few changes over the last few days, most of which
involve removing code. The diffstat is as follows:
Sbuild/Chroot.pm | 144 +++++----------
Sbuild/Conf.pm | 61 ++----
TODO | 7
bin/README.bins | 2
bin/chrapt | 2
bin/updatechroot | 2
bin/upgradechroot | 2
chroot/add_sbuild_user | 146 +++++----------
debian/NEWS.Debian | 17 +
debian/README.Debian | 10 -
debian/changelog | 67 +++++++
debian/control | 4
sbuild | 458 +------------------------------------------------
sbuild-setup.7.in | 46 ++--
sbuild.conf | 13 -
sbuild.conf.local | 13 -
16 files changed, 277 insertions(+), 717 deletions(-)
This makes a number of major changes:
1) Manual source-dependencies files are no longer supported. They are
no longer read, and the configuration files have been removed.
Most of the logic for the manual dependencies has been removed, but
some still remains for the time being.
2) sudo access to the build chroot is no longer supported; schroot is
now mandatory. When you run with a sudo setup, it will print a
diagnostic giving you the configuration to paste into schroot.conf
to get you up and running as quickly as possible.
There are also some other minor changes which are in the changelog.
I would be interested to hear if the new code works or not for you.
Ease of upgrading is something I'd like to keep as simple as possible.
Better diagnostic messages for obsolete configuration options are next
on my TODO list.
Regards,
Roger
