[buildd-tools-devel] Bug#528312: Please add option to skip removal of installed Build-Depends

Package: sbuild
Version: 0.52
Severity: wishlist

I use sbuild with schroot-managed filesystems (snapshots via LVM,
ZFS-over-iSCSI). It would be nice if a flag could be made so that sbuild
won't waste time trying to clean up installed Build-Depends after
debuild/dpkg-buildpackage finishes.

For a failed build, it lets me chroot in manually and start hacking in
the build dir to discover/fix bugs. For successful builds, destroying
the snapshot is faster than waiting for "apt-get remove foo bar" to finish
(and then having to destroy the snapshot afterward, anyways).

Apologies if something like this is already in the git tree, I didn't
notice anything like this proposed feature.

This would probably interfere with the "Build needed x time, y disk
space" calculations sbuild displays - I imagine users of this flag wouldn't
care about that.

Thanks
