We now have a hook mechanism to trigger actions such as this.
I've looked at edos-debcheck, and I'm not entirely sure how
best to run it to test for the reason for failure.

One thing was that there may be multiple Packages files in
/var/lib/apt/lists; can they all the concatenated together or
can it read in all the different ones?

Do you have any examples of how best to do this?
