[buildd-tools-devel] Bug#631595: sbuild: Please allow setting of environment variables when running dpkg-buildpackage

Package: sbuild
Version: 0.62.3-1
Severity: normal

Having the ability to do e.g.

$build_environment = [ 'CCACHE_DIR=/build/cache' ];

or even

$build_environment = { 'CCACHE_DIR' => '/build/cache' };

would permit the user to set specific environment variables
when running dpkg-buildpackage without needing to both
set them in their environment /and/ add them to the
environment filter. This could in fact bypass the
environment filter entirely.

Regards,
Roger
