A related problem is exposed by the piuparts test of mini-buildd-common
in squeeze (when adduser is available during purge):

  Removing sbuild ...
  Purging configuration files for sbuild ...
  /usr/sbin/delgroup: `mini-buildd' still has `sbuild' as their primary
group!
  dpkg: error processing sbuild (--purge):
   subprocess installed post-removal script returned error exit status 7

This is of course fixed by locking instead of removing sbuild user/group.

s.t. piuparts-analyze can detect that a bug was filed.
