Applied, thanks.  It's pushed to the debian git branch.  I had to
re-diff parts of it due to it not being against the current git
version, but it should be as intended in the diff.

I'll upload it soon, but if you want to take a look to make sure
you're happy with it, please feel free.

One thing preventing me uploading it just now is that I can't
autobuild it with sbuild.  The build fails when unpacking the build
deps:

Setting up python2.7-minimal (2.7.5-8) ...
Setting up adduser (3.113+nmu3) ...
Setting up netbase (5.1) ...

However, it's not clear to me why it's failing.  I don't think it's
netbase--it builds perfectly happily in an experimental chroot, but
fails for unstable.  There's no actual error message logged though,
which is annoying.  It can be uploaded as soon as it's buildable
again though.
