Package: sbuild
Version: 0.64.1-1
Severity: normal
Hi,
starting with release 1.17.11, which just got uploaded into sid [1],
dpkg-buildpackage now accepts only one build type option (-g, -G, -b,
-B, -A, -S or -F).
The Debile [2] infrastructure builds a lot of packages with `sbuild -A
--debbuildopt=-A`. Since `sbuild -A` uses `dpkg-buildpackage -b`, the
change in dpkg-buildpackage means sbuild is now broken for us.
I'm not sure what a correct solution would be. Either adding an option
for suppressing the -b option, or adding an option for using
dpkg-buildpackage -A would be fine for us (the debile team), though
the former is probably preferable.
Here's the relevant extract from a sample sbuild log [3]:
dpkg-buildpackage
-----------------
dpkg-buildpackage: cannot combine -b and -A
