This certainly looks very interesting.  However, we do need root
for a number of things in addition to what proot provides.
It could certainly work for the very simple case, but would not
be able to support any user switching, PAM auth, filesystem
mounting, union overlays, lvm snapshotting etc., so you'd lose
the greater part of all the features of schroot.

I'm afraid I won't have time to dedicate to this, but I'd certainly
be open to proposed patches or just general detail on how it might
be implemented.
