Hello.

I am looking for a Chinese font that I can use to embed in my troff
document. As far as I know the GNU groff utility can only accept fonts
in Type1 format.

I tried to convert it with ttf2pt1 and failed to get acceptable result.
See the last message on this thread:
http://www.linuxsir.org/bbs/archive/index.php/t-294683.html

Converting to type1 seems to require a lot of knowledge on encoding,
some 256-character limitation, format and generating matrix of some
sort. It's really too confusing for someone who just want to get started
to compose some documents and satisfied with simple and only 1 Chinese
font, like me. I guess it would be better to also provide Type1
download. Otherwise clear instruction how this can be done.

I tried to generate font with fontforget in pfa format and was told
fontforge was trying to only convert first 256 glyphs. I said no and
closed fontforge after checked there are no human (me) understandable
options for me to choose.

Best regards and thanks for your help in advance.
