[D-community-discuss] Debian starter pack

A few years ago there was some discussion on the Debian User list about 
spreading Debian as a desktop OS via public lending libraries 
(http://lists.debian.org/debian-user/2002/11/msg01264.html). It never 
came to anything then, but, as Debian Live and Etch come to maturity, I 
think it could work now.

I have some ideas (http://untrammelled.co.uk/debian-quickstart.html) for 
a freely distributable Debian starter pack with live CD, (including 
installer) and easy-to-follow documentation. The CD and the 
documentation booklet would be cheap and simple for anyone to download, 
reproduce and distribute.
