[D-community-offtopic] Bad Contacts on IPW2200? (w/ image link!)

My wireless card is cutting out.
When out, it does not respond to
# iwconfig eth1 txpower on/off
I am thinking that one or both of two wire contacts and/or sockets are
getting worn, loose or corroded. I have discovered that turning the
contacts in their sockets will restore wireless 9/10 times.
I can't be sure that I am not also jiggling the pins because I can't
isolate from jiggling the entire card. But I am close to sure.
It never starts right anymore and it is down to about 1 failure per hour.
Is there some chemical or goop that will increase conductivity?
This image shows the sockets at top right. (The red arrow and white pin are
irrelevant because it is a borrowed image.) The sockets and contacts are
tiny. I can *not* see them this well in reality with or without glasses.
