I guess a lot depends on the kind of neighbors you have.  I got some surplus 
containers that originally contained the stuff they use on airplanes to 
defrost / remove ice.  (I got them to collect rainwater for my garden.)  I 
had a neighbor come on to my property and read the labels, then reported me 
to the township accusing me of running a meth lab...  (They would have had to 
come on my property to read the labels, or use a pretty powerful telescope 
from the property line--they were a good 60' away.)
