1) i'd say somewhere under /usr/share/<pkg> where it won't get in the way,
   there's no real hard requirement on exactly where it needs to be.
2) dbc_generate_include -- there's a few other related variables you might
   also be interested in, check out 
   	/usr/share/doc/dbconfig-common/dbconfig-common.txt.gz
   and search around for generate_include to find all of them.
