thanks for the response. Could you please approve my sign up to this
list? It's still hanging and thus I am not receiving any emails.

How can Jose orphan the package? Is his latest post to this mailing
list sufficient?

Yes, I have an account "certik-guest" and I'll put scipy into the
python modules packaging team (I am a member of it). I can do it right
now and ask my regular sponsor for upload. Can I just do it, or are
there more administrative tasks?

If you agree, I'll do it, prepare it for upload and send to this list
a note so that you agree with my changes and then I'll ask my sponsor
for uploading it.
