[Debburn-devel] xcdroast in Ubuntu

Gentlemen--

Sorry to bother you as I'm not a member of your list or a developer.

But this is a helpful link for a frustrating problem for me.

I downloaded xcdroast from Ubuntu today, only to find it wouldn't
recognize my burner because I hadn't configured it as a SCSI drive (my
bad).

The About in the app told me to go to xcdroast.org. But at
http://linux.slashdot.org/article.pl?sid=06/09/04/1335226&from=rss I
read that you have forked the package and are now maintaining a GPL
version.

If so, why the link to the non-free site for FAQ's?

And more importantly, how can I get it to work in the meantime?

I mean, it says to edit /etc/modules.conf, which I don't have.

Finally, let's hope this SCSI thing can be fixed in the near future. It
practically disables the application for many users who aren't willing
to code.

And we do _SO_ need something in Gnome that can do multisession CD-RW's!
How long have they been out?

Forgive me if I ask a lot of questions at once.

I'd just appreciate a lead on how to get this thing enabled.

Thanks

Coby
