Shouldn't happen. Please add -vvv -VVV to the options.

Please also try the current cdrskin instead of wodim.

Currently you have wodim, cdrecord, cdrskin and growisofs which all can
do multisession and write DVDs and continued to be developed
independently. There is no silver bullet like "the one best continued
super software".

It can be done with a simple script or similar simple frontend. I think
there are enough of such kind, see freshmeat.net.
