[Debburn-devel] Burning DVD Video "on-the-fly"?

Hi,

I am looking for a way to burn MPEG-2 streams coming from a video 
grabber hardware via the cdrkit tools on a DVD.
Is that possible via the -sao switch of wodim? Do I need to use growisofs?
So what I am looking for is a way to use the cdrkit as a digital VCR.. 
any ideas?
