[Debburn-devel] Cygwin wodim: DVD-RW drive not visible on Vista

Hi all,

I maintain the cdrkit packages for the Cygwin distribution.

The following problem was reported to the Cygwin mailing list:

'wodim -scanbus' lists the HDD, but not the DVD-RW drive on Vista. DVD 
drive can not be accessed.
But 'cdrecord -scanbus' works as expected with some old cdrecord 2.0.

I could not reproduce this problem on XP or Vista.
The cygwin package is build from cdrkit 1.1.7.1 tarball without any patches.

Any comment?
