Hi,

Fast-forward nearly 8 years and the situation changed a bit.

 * .hg is now already ignored due to #760033 (fixed in 2014.
 * I will be adding .pc and _darcs to the list as they were mentioned
   in this bug (and then close this bug as fixed).
 * For everything else, there is always "dh_clean -X".
