[Debian-eeepc-devel] trouleshooting fn+f7

So here's my issue. I have eeepc-acpi-scripts installed, and the OSD
for them working. My volume up/down keys work, but my mute one
doesn't. It shows the Audio On/Off message, but nothing actually gets
muted. The strange thing is when I open xfce4-mixer and press the
buttons the volume slider for Front, which is what I have the buttons
set to in /etc/default/eeepc-acpi-scripts, works as expected, but
still nothing is muted when I hit fn-f7. I've been googling this
intermittently for a while, and I seem to remember seeing something
about the mute key needing to control the PCM channel, but when I set
that in my /etc/default/eeepc-acpi-scripts file instead of Front, the
volume keys work and the mute key still doesn't, the only difference
being that it shows just "Audio" for the OSD when pressing it.

Any ideas? It was suggested on irc to:

(09:29:38 AM) SynrG: try to figure out the exact command being called
and do it from the command line
(09:30:05 AM) SynrG: then check the doc for the command to ensure
we're doing it correctly

But I'm too much of a noob to know how to do that. :[ If someone wants
to take the time to point me in the right direction I can poke around
with it though.
