That is correct. But this is the standard config for Debian which is set
up to work on a variety of system. We know that we are running an Eee PC
and what components it has. As far as I remember correctly Phil disabled
a lot of things, compiled a lot into the kernel and not as modules and
does not use an initrd, to just name a few things.

That is why I would like to get a config of someone who knew what she/he
was doing and has already tested this.
