Hmm. The locking probably wasn't needed, then; however, the module has gained
locking there anyway since 2.6.31...

Incidentally, has anybody tried the appropriate version of that patch in the
presence of other wireless hw, and preferably on different EeePC models?
(ISTR trying it with the Intel 3945 which I'd temporarily moved from my big
laptop...)

That's quick compared to what it would take were i2c_i801 being loaded and
claiming resources...

2103? That's what I have, and I see that module initialisation taking a few
seconds here too.

A combination of the choice of key code (KEY_ZOOM) in eeepc_laptop, and X not
having a mapping for that. Or something like that, anyway...
