My 1005P doesn't exhibit those behaviours -- I tested it by running
"while date --rfc-3339=ns; do sleep 0.1; done" while switching with
Fn+SPC.  OTOH, I'm not running X.

However, it does take nearly two seconds for the SHE state to change (as
reported by polling cpufv).
