Ah ok.

under the debian linux kernel 2.6.30 amd64 from lenny backports, the
eeepc-laptop module autoload at boot (under 2.6.32.2 it doesn't load
anymore...).

cat /sys/devices/platform/eeepc/cpufv gives me "769" :D
