eeepc-acpi-scripts is not responsible for handling this hotkey. The
kernel is. In all likelihood the issue is that eeepc_laptop module is
not loaded because you have a newer WMI BIOS. The eeepc_wmi module,
unfortunately, is not present in the 2.6.32 kernel in squeeze.  The good
news is that you can use the acpi_osi="Linux" boot parameter workaround
for now, as documented on our wiki:

That allows the old eeepc_laptop module to load on systems with newer
WMI BIOSes. With luck, then the hotkey will work.
