Please indicate the URL to the image you used for the install.
GRUB ought to ask you which device to install to, so I don't know what's
going on there. In most cases where GRUB mis-steps, it is possible to
rescue the system afterwards by booting rescue media and reinstalling
GRUB on the main drive.
