We can either maintain a unified set of source package for both Debian 
and Ubuntu (if we can agree on the packaging style), or at least we can 
use that place to coordinate our otherwise separate efforts.

I must admit that I quickly loose interest in helping out if you choose 
to keep packaging specific to Ubuntu - but other members of the Debian 
OLPC team might still be a valuable source of help, so please join our 
team, even if you believe it to be simpler/better/whatever to not work 
closely together with us at Debian.
