Sounds great.

But do we really have _working_ core packages yet? I still haven't 
succeeded running sugar-emulator: it segfaults on my development machine 
(an amd64 MacBook).

For packaging, I encourage you to use same packaging style as me: cdbs 
with the local snippets now in the core packages, and Git as revision 
control system.


Attached is my small convenience scripts to 1) initiate a local 
packaging environment based on upstream Git, and 2) push the locally 
prepared packaging into a new Git at Alioth.
