Yes, official packaging and recompiling for various archs may cause such
hickups.

Concretely, sugar-artwork-0.86 was waiting in NEW queue for ftpmaster
approval due to being a new package name. So it wasn't available on any
architecture officially until some time within the last 12-24 hours (too
lazy to calculate timezones now).

Much info can be gathered through
http://qa.debian.org/developer.php?login=debian-olpc-devel@lists.alioth.debian.org
and form there go to "PTS", "Pool" and "Excuses" for each of the source
packages.

For amd64 and i386 (and for powerpc if you ask nicely) - I provide
packages at my unofficial source at debian.jones.dk which should make
those architectures work at all times regardless of delays in official
processing.

My unofficial packages are carefully renumbered to ensure that when the
official packages arrive they will replace the unofficial ones.

My unofficial packages are built from exact same sources as published
officially - except for a few cases of workarounds, especially for the
backports to Lenny. All such workarounds are documented in the
changelog.

I recommend to install "apt-listchanges" and afterwards do
"dpkg-reconfigure apt-listchanges" and enable a) showing both news and
changes, and b) make it stop after showing them, to allow breaking if
something alarming shows up.

Regards,

  - Jonas
