Great!

It is not a problem for Debian that you choose a different packaging
style than mine, and not (in principle) for this team: we do not enforce
a specific packaging style. But you can't rely on me for reviews and
uploads when choosing an alternate packaging style - which might make it
a problem for the team in reality: I am the only Debian Developer
currently active here :-/

So if you don't care then I suggest I "invade" your nice tight packaging
with my complex CDBS addons. You can then leave those CDBS parts to me,
or if interested then I shall enjoy guiding you into the world of CDBS.

If, however, you deliberately chose to not use CDBS then I shall respect
that and leave your package alone.

Same here: Great work you did - just not maintainable in my narrow view
- I will also here await your permission before hacking on it.

Kind regards,
